The purpose for which God has created us is in the mind of God and the Church provides an environment for learning to live in the world according to God’s Kingdom. David served his generation by God’s will. God rejected Jesse’s other sons from being King. Is there a reason God is rejecting you? Realise that the blessings God has given you are to be manifested by God. As God was with David, He made David to never lose a battle. God does not make something for nothing and He does everything for a purpose and always has a plan in mind.
